Wolves lose first game
In the Wolves first game of the 2008 IWFL season they went against a tough and hard nosed Chicago Force team Saturday night and came away with a very tough 14-7 loss at the Otto Breitenbach Stadium in Middleton. This was a game that had some of the hardest hits, great defense and some weird weather for April. Just as they introductions were being announced, it started to snow, and when Wolves photographer Jam Mims started to sing the National Anthem, it was almost a whiteout. Read More...

COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR NEW SEASON
With the days counting down quickly for the Wisconsin Wolves to begin their 2008 season, the Wolves are licking their chops to get out on the field and “Hit” someone. They have been working hard getting into condition, learning plays, running routes, and now their eagerness is ready to explode.
With the new season comes a new league, rookies, coaches and a hard nosed attitude. After being slighted last year at the Pro Bowl and missing the Big Dance the last two years, they are ready to come out of the chute and show everyone they are for real.
They will play their first three home games at the Otto Breidenbach Field in Middleton starting April 12th against a tough Chicago Force team then May 10th against the Detroit Demolition, on May 17th the Columbus Phantoms and their last game at Lussier Stadium at LaFollette June 7th taking on the Kansas City Tribe.
New teams means new road trips and with closer away games-Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit, the Wolves hope to establish a following that will strengthen the Wolves in more ways with a crowd to cheer them on.
So come on out and become a Wolves fan as they start a new year in a new league. Come Howl With the Wolves. Tickets are $10 General Admission, $5 for Seniors, Military and Students and kids under 10 free with an adult. Group rates are also available.

We have a celebrity on our hands, our very own Dozer! On Saturday, February 23, 5 Wisconsin Wolves put on their jerseys and player pants and took a "dip" into Lake Ripley to help raise money for scholarships for Cambridge High School. As, Slacker, Swoosh, Hippie and China got ready to take their big plunge, Dozer stood on the side of the watering hole not sure if this was for her. But, as the crowd began to chant, "Dozer, Dozer, Dozer" wearing her # 52, she knew this was her calling and she could not let the Wolves down or the crowd at hand calling her name. She took the plunge! I want to thank all of those who pledged our ladies to make this charitable event a success.

2008 BANQUET A SUCCESS

The Second Annual Wisconsin Wolves Banquet of 2008 was held at the Boulevard Lanes Saturday February 16th and with around 55 players, coaches and other Wolves personnel and significant others attending, the atmosphere was of a festive nature.
With dresses, formal wear and spit shined shoes replacing pads, helmets, cleats and uniforms, the ladies made it a night that showcased their softer side.
With returning players and players that will not suit up this season as a Wolf, the mood turned into a reunion type scenario. Photos filled the tables of the players and videos showed some memorable scenes from the 2007 season, on and off the field.
Starting off the program was coach and owners Mark and Mary Dearth who summed up the 2007 season and why they continue with the Wolves. Their answer was “Each and everyone of you is why we continue. Each and everyone is family.
Then they started with “Teach” Becky Schmidt’s video that covered all the players in the 2007 season with music followed with “Halftime’s” Brittney Reinbolts videos that both made the night a complete success.
With the dinner and program over, more talk continued and hugs, goodbyes and see ya later ended the night. The Wolves will now get ready to kick off the 2008 season as they start to prepare for their new conference, the IWFL in the Spring.
