Just like Ahhnold: "We'll be back".
The Wisconsin Wolves are taking an extended time out. After two exhilarating seasons in the WPFL and one obstacle filled, injury plagued season in the IWFL, the Wolves have decided as a cohesive unit to take a one year leave of absence. We have been granted exhibition status by the IWFL and will not play any games in 2009. We will instead dedicate the next thirteen months to building the strongest possible football team, both on the field and off. The wolfpack will be hungrier than ever when we return to the field in 2010 and our appetites will not be satisfied by anything less than a championship run.
To our awesome fans, we thank you very much for your enthusiastic support and look forward to seeing you in the stands when we return to the battlefield. The Wolves players and crew very much want to stay in touch and we have already scheduled and are planning many more events in the year to come. Please check the website often for more information on how you can help support the team (and have some fun!) by participating in these activities.
To all female athletes with a passion for football, the Wolves would like you to be a part of our rebirth. We have partnered with an athletic training organization that will help us to improve our skills and conditioning and to achieve our team goals. If you have the drive and dedication it takes to be a member of our pack, please join and grow with us now so that we can hit the field running HARD together in 2010. If you are interested in trying out, please contact the Wolves via the website or directly at recruitwolves@yahoo.com to find out when and where.
Thanks again and GO WOLVES!
