The WOLVES February Fundraisers on
550 AM News Radio Show with Pat Snyder

Coaches Mark Dearth and Shane Courneya, along with co-owner Mary Dearth, appeared on the 550 AM news radio show with Pat Snyder on February 9th to talk about all of the exciting Wisconsin Wolves fundraising events in February.

Included in these exciting events is the 1st Annual Wisconsin Wolves Wrestling Fundraiser brought to you by the Wisconsin Wolves and Brew City Wrestling.

The second exciting event talked about was the 1st Annual Wisconsin Wolves 9 Pin Tap Bowling Tournament at Day’s Bowl-a-Dome.  Exciting door prizes such as spa treatments, coffee prizes, and a Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers autographed plaque were some of the prizes mentioned.

The third event discussed was the Polar Plunge.  15 players, several coaches, and our mascot Wolfie are signed up to jump!

PLUNGING STARTS AT NOON!

In addition to discussing about the exciting fundraising events, the coaches and owners of the Wisconsin Wolves also discussed the continued recruiting that the Wolves are undertaking.  All women were encouraged to stop by practice at the Greenheck to see if women’s tackle football is something that they would want to be a part of.  Basic fundamentals are taught at practice and women should not be apprehensive about joining – no matter what their level of knowledge of football is.  They also discussed the diverse group of women on the team, ranging from ages 17-46 and coming from all walks of life, proving that tackle football can fit into almost anyone’s lifestyle.  Practices are on Monday from 7:30 – 9:30 and on Friday from 6-8 at the Greenheck.  There are also practices every other Sunday from 9-11. 1st Annual WISCONSIN WOLVES 9 Pin Tap Bowling Tournament

Brought to you by the WISCONSIN WOLVES and Day’s Bowl-a-Dome The Wisconsin Wolves are excited to announce the date, time, and details of their 9 Pin Tap Bowling Tournament at Day’s Bowl-a-Dome.

WHERE: DAY’S BOWL-A-DOME
1715 STEWART AVENUE IN WAUSAU, WI
WHEN: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH
COST: $20/PERSON

There will be two shifts of bowling, one starting at 12:00 and one starting at 3:00, with check-in times at 11:30 AM and 2:30 respectively.In addition to bowling, there will also be the opportunity to win FREE TUBE SHOTS as well as DOOR PRIZES.  Wolves players and coaches will also be present.  Play with a wolf player on your team or bowl against a team of wolves!
Monetary proceeds from this exciting event will be going directly towards the Wisconsin Wolves expenses.  It is through your generous support that we are able to have a women’s tackle football team in Central Wisconsin!

The WISCONSIN WOLVES Take the Plunge!

The Wisconsin Wolves, both players and coaches, along with our mascot Wolfie, will be taking the POLAR PLUNGE to support the Special Olympics!

Money raised from the Polor Plunge will help support local Special Olympics programs in Wisconsin, allowing nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities to experience the joy of sports training and participation with their peers.

The Wolves will also be collecting donations for the Polar Plunge on February 6 from 10 AM to 2 PM as well as on February 13 from 10 AM to 4 PM outside of Sam’s Club in Wausau.  This is a great opportunity to raise money for a great cause as well as interact with the central Wisconsin community about the Wolves presence in Wausau for their 2011 season!
